A while back we featured the minimalist yet soulful London townhouse of Daniel and Emma Lee (see The Uncluttered Life in London); it was a huge hit with our readers, and a source of inspiration for remodelers everywhere. Here’s some good news: Daniel has launched a bespoke line of brass taps based on his own designs. As he says, “the line was born out of my vision for my home. When I undertook my renovation project in 2014, I envisaged beautiful brass taps that would showcase the natural properties of the metal and develop a unique character over time. Following many years of chrome and nickel, I felt it was time to bring the warmer tones of brass back into the bathroom.
“I looked everywhere; but found many artificially aged products, nothing resembling what I had in mind. And so I decided to return to my roots in engineering and set about designing the taps myself.
“Once they were in place, it became clear that I wasn’t the only person who believed that bathroom fittings were ripe for reinvention. Inquiries poured in, demand grew, and Studio Ore was established in response.
“Today, from our workshops in Sussex, we design and make a widening range of products, placing the utmost importance upon unrivaled craftsmanship and premium-quality materials. Our products are heavily influenced by industrial design and are as much about function as they are about aesthetics. Engineered with precision to the highest possible quality standards, they embody the beauty of the understated, bringing a discreet style to any interior space.”
