The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a recall of Nestlé Canada’s non-dairy frozen dessert cones due to the possibility of undeclared milk.

According to the CFIA, Nestlé Canada recalled its Drumstick Caramel and Vanilla Chocolate Swirl Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert cones on April 15.

People who have an allergy to milk should not consume the products with the following UPC codes.

“This recall was triggered by Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) test results,” stated the release.

“The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products.”

As for illnesses, there has been one reported reaction associated with the consumption of these products since the date the notice was posted.

At the moment, the CFIA is verifying that the industry is removing the recalled products from the marketplace.
