Royal Canadian Mounted Police officers in West Kelowna are investigating after “numerous” people were stabbed in the early morning hours of March 28.
RCMP officers from the Kelowna and West Kelowna detachments were called to Postill Lake Road just before 2 am on Sunday morning for reports of a stabbing at an outdoor gathering.
Officers “flooded the area” and located five male victims – two youths and three adults – suffering from stab wounds.
Police would not comment on the severity of their injuries, but said all five were taken to hospital for treatment.
One adult man has been arrested, and police don’t believe there is any ongoing risk to public safety.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call the West Kelowna RCMP at 250-768-2880.
