marking the first collection of never go alone, the accessories display a stylish design and color scheme of earthy tones and warm orange, empowering users to make sanitizing hands and surfaces an enjoyable daily ritual. with an emphasis on sustainability, the bottles are all refillable. LAYER has created a large bottle for sanitizing wipes that’s perfect for home settings, and a smaller wipe case and spray bottle that both include a lanyard so they can be easily attached to keys or a bag.
the layered mask takes inspiration from the design language of athleisure
the collection also includes a layered facemask. the outermost layer is a highly breathable and lightweight knitted fabric that conceals a replaceable bespoke PM2.5 diamond-shaped filter. this layer is bonded to an ultrasuede mid-layer that gives the mask a sculptural structure while providing soft touchpoints for the skin. the innermost layer is an advanced technical superfine knit that incorporates antibacterial fibers for increased protection.
the sanitizer and hand wipe containers are refillable, reducing waste and encouraging users to build an ongoing relationship with the brand
‘as a studio, we are focused on using the power of design to shift perceptions and solve the challenges of today and tomorrow. in today’s world, we believe it is essential to transform medical and hygiene products into sustainable lifestyle accessories that people want to use every day,’ says LAYER founder, benjamin hubert. ‘we are also always interested in working with start-ups that have a strong foundation story. nga was inspired to create never go alone by her own powerful personal journey – that story combined with the current challenges we face across the world created an exciting opportunity.’
the sculptural containers are designed to be proudly displayed in your home or on your person, rather than hidden away
nga nguyen, founder of never go alone, comments, ‘we collaborated with benjamin hubert and LAYER over the past year to develop an innovative and future-focused brand with a family of sustainable protective and wellbeing products. the LAYER team applied their multi-disciplinary approach and unique design thinking to all aspects of never go alone, from the branding and website to product and packaging design. we have had a tremendous experience working with the team and look forward to continuing to partner with the studio on our future endeavors.’
the inaugural collection, edition 01: sandstone, reimagines the world of hygiene and elevates the experience of sanitation and protection, both in the home and on-the-go
never go alone was founded by vietnamese-born, london-based entrepreneur nga nguyen during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. while traveling for business in europe in early march, nga tested positive for the virus. as she was undergoing treatment and isolation at a hospital in a foreign country, she was inspired to turn her story around and create a collection of products to support others on their journey. with this new experiential self-care brand, people would ‘never go alone’.
