At the peak of its popularity in the 1920s, the Art Deco era equaled luxury and glamour to consumers. Hansgrohe, leading manufacturer of bathroom and kitchen fixtures, is giving the nostalgic geometric style fresh life with their Locarno collection. Hexagonal designs and bold finishes bring century old Art Deco elements into today’s kitchens and bathrooms through elegance and sophistication that will transform an entire room.

Hansgrohe collaborated with leading design firm Phoenix Design to bring their vision to life. “People of this period undoubtedly felt more materially secure than before and were optimistic about political, technological and cultural prospects,” says Andreas Diefenbach, Managing Partner of Phoenix Design. “During the whole project, we were consistently focused on indulgence, intimacy, humanity and everyday utility whilst recalling the poetry and romance of bygone times, pleasure and the luxury of ease of being.”

Locarno features an entire bathroom collection of faucets, shower components and accessories, each with an Art Deco-inspired hexagonal detail that brings the series to life. Choose from a single-hole or widespread sink faucet. For the shower you’ll find thermostatic and pressure balance trims, wall bars and shower arms. The collection also includes roman tub sets, a freestanding tub filler with hand shower and multiple accessories for an all-encompassing bathroom design.

Moving to the kitchen, Locarno continues to meld together classic design notes and modern technology. Opt for the Semi-Pro Kitchen Faucet or the convenient Select HighArc Kitchen Faucet. Hansgrohe’s Select technology enables the user to start and stop water with the push of a button, saving both water and time. A prep faucet, bar faucet and soap dispenser complete the Locarno kitchen assortment.
