using just plastic bottles and scotch tape, this group of artists has created an artwork that speaks volumes. conceived by chaosteria, lingxia wang, and jianqiang li, ‘amber’ viscerally expresses the dangers of plastic pollution on our future.

with a figure trapped inside, it’s like the plastic cube has become a monster. as the plastic consumes the figure, the artists make an astute commentary on our future and our abuse of plastic products. ‘amber is a tragedy even though it looks beautiful. this sudden disaster, you don’t even have time to struggle. with the abuse and pollution of plastic products, you and I may all be wrapped in amber in the future,’ say the artists.
